A site assessment checklist for factory cleaning

Before work begins, agree on the site risks, available hours and scope of cleaning. This guide helps you ask useful questions and explain the job clearly. Every site and provider is different, so use it as a starting point rather than a substitute for a site assessment.

Map out the areas first

Separate production areas, equipment surrounds, storage, walkways, loading bays and administration spaces.

Confirm the safety requirements

Check PPE, machine isolation, hazardous materials and whether work at height requires additional qualifications.

Agree on the completion standard

Put the areas, frequency, inspection method and exceptions in writing.

Your enquiry checklist

Include the address, site contact, floor area, photos, time window, restrictions, supplies, waste arrangements and completion checks.

A message you can use for your enquiry

“Hi! I'd like to arrange cleaning in Malaysia. The location is ___, the property type is ___ and the area is about ___. My preferred date is ___, and the main things to clean are ___. I can share photos. Could you check team availability and let me know whether a site visit is needed?”
